The Yeti 400 is the bomb. Using it to power my modded Oppo 205. Mo betta imaging and ambience. However, there are some minor issues:
1. You cannot use the 400 watter with a high powered amp (even a low drain switching amp) as it will shut off when seeing the input surge.
2. The fan comes on and is annoying....even with just 45 watts drain......the way to fix this is to remove the top, bottom and back covers and make sure the temperature sensor under the battery does not touch the battery.....once doing this the fan never comes on and it is cool as a cucumber.
3. The AC output receptacles are too close to each other so two audiophile cords using large plugs won't fit. One would have to be a smaller molded plug.
You don't need to use all in one jobbies (battery and inverter together). You can purchase separate inverters, batteries and chargers This way you can buy large inverters for very little money and even buy several to isolate equipment. You would surely want a 2000 watter on your amp or to run your whole system if you have a high current amp. You could get a 2000 watter for your amp and run your front end off another smaller one using the same battery or bank of batteries. You can buy 2000 watt inverters for as little as $300, a 100ah AGM battery for $150 and a 25 amp charger for less than $100. Here are some links to get you searching.
