The Peachtree and VTV amp mods are done.  The mods are fantastic.  Way more musical, detailed and extended in the highs.  Here is what I have done:

Upgraded the AC power......eliminated the back power switch (does not need it as it has a switch on the front panel), eliminated the fuse on the back panel (does not need it....already has a fuse on the internal power supply), changed the AC inlet to a Furutech inlet and changed the input AC wire to cryoed OFC wire in foamed Teflon insulation......and performed another distortion lowering mod to the power supply.  This mod does not upgrade the external power cord, just the AC power jack and inside wire.

Upgraded the digital input wire.  This is an EVS custom wire (2 Cardas grade 1 bare wires twisted together and put into a cotton sleeve......two of these wires are twisted together and the wire is soldered directly to the input jack and the board (eliminating two connectors).

Upgraded the output wire and eliminated the extra output coils (not needed).  The standard mod uses Cryoed 14 gauge OFC in foamed teflon soldered from the output board directly to WBT Nexgen jacks.  Optionally, you can get my plastic clamp output connectors.  Pictures below.

Upgraded all the output filter caps from the stock Polyester caps to modified Wima Polyprop caps oriented so the outside foil goes to ground.

Pricing for the Peachtree amp ....... $500 for all the above including the WBT connectors ...or $500  for my plastic clamp speaker posts in place of the WBT jacks..... all mods plus return shipping. Special pricing on Music Purifiers and Ground Enhancers when purchased with the mod.

The mods to the more powerful VTV D300 are the same except I add a power switch to the VTV unless you use the optional 12V trigger to power it on and off.  I also change the coax input jack to a Nextgen WBT copper jack and I also add 16 lbs. of lead weight inside the chassis to damp the chassis bottom (where the power supply and output module are tied to) and add more mass to load it into the feet better.  I also do a mod to the GaNfet heatsinks that makes a serious improvement.  The power switch can optionally not be installed, if you are using the trigger for turning it off and on....or just don't care if your amp is on all the time (it idles at 20 watts).  It will sound slightly better without the power switch.  Price for the VTV amp is   $650-$700 depending on options.......plus return shipping.

More info on the GaN 1 and feedback from people who have had their amp modded can be seen on Audiogon:

7-23-2023.......did three more mods to the Gan 1 and VTV amps......now even better.  One week in house turn around.   Special price for Music Purifier and Ground Enhancer combo with order.....$100!!!!!  $165 value.

Pics below show my plastic clamping system that I am using on my modified VTV D300 digital amp.  The bolt is plastic "Peek" material and the rest is nylon.  My PCOCC 14 gauge copper litz speaker wire is terminated with a small piece of cryoed 14 gauge OFC wire that is shaped into a hook.....then clamped to the wire coming from the amp.  The clamps can accept spades as well.  You cannot use bananas with the clamping system......bare wire, tinned wire and spades are great.

Funky......yes......transparent.....yes.   Most poeple are perfectly happy with the WBT Nextgens (shown above)......me....I want the best.
